Ronda Rousey has harsh words for Fallon Fox

ronda rousey picture

Ultimate Fighting Championship Women's Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey commented on transgender MMA fighter Fallon Fox.

UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey spoke to the New York Post about transgender fighter Fallon Fox and about the comments that Matt Mitrion made earlier this week.

She can try hormones, chop her pecker off, but it's still the same bone structure a man has," Rousey told The Post. "It's an advantage. I don't think it's fair.

I understand the UFC doesn't want to be associated with views like Mitrione's. I'm also glad they didn't straight cut him.

Rousey also told the New York Post that she fought hermaphrodites in Judo and that she had no problems with that because that was something they didn't choose, and Fallon Fox choose to change gender so it's slightly different with her.

It's not something that happened to her. It was a decision she made. She should be aware in her career after that, it's going to be an arduous path. I don't know why she's surprised by that. It's going to draw a lot of emotions. What if she became UFC champion and we had a transgender women's champion?" Rousey said. It's a very socially difficult situation.

Right now, Rousey would prefer not to fight Fallon Fox, but she will if the UFC asks her to. Who do you guys think will win that fight?
Ronda Rousey is set to face the winner of Miesha Tate vs. Cat Zingano.

GSP talks about Hollywood, Nick Diaz, Johny Hendricks

gsp picture

While Georges St-Pierre is busy filming his movie, Johny Hendricks will be training already and have a head start. But in the interview below, St-Pierre said he's already training.

UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre is set to face Johny Hendricks for his next title defense, on an event that will be named later. That will give St-Pierre plenty of time to film his movie role as "Baltroc the Leaper" in the upcoming "Captain America" sequel titled "Winter Soldier". Hendricks is under the impression he'll be the only one training hard while his opponent is relaxing in his trailer, sipping cappuccinos.

But GSP has an update for Hendricks:

I'm already training. I train all the time. I heard Hendricks say 'Oh, when he's doing the movie, I'll be training.' Well, I have some news for him, I'm already training now. I trained two, three days after the Nick Diaz fight, I was in the gym training. The movie has nothing to to with the end of my career. I love what I do right now.

Jon Jones: "Chael Sonnen is a promoter, I'm a Champion"

jon jones picture

UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones says Chael Sonnen is in the promote a fight business, and he is in the remain champion business.

UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones is set to face Chael Sonnen in a fight at UFC 159 on April 27, 2013 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Right now the 2 are coaches on this season of The Ultimate Fighter. As expected, Chael Sonnen is running his mouth again and Jon Jones tells Shaun Al-Shatti (MMA Fighting) it's all about fight promotion:

Chael's mouth doesn't bother me at all. I think if I was to take it personal, if I wasn't to understand it, it would bother me. But I have a pretty clear understanding of who Chael is, what he's accomplished, and my understanding kind of takes the power away from his words and his persona.

You can see that the talk has picked up a little bit. But Chael is in the ‘promote fight' business. I guess that's how he got in this situation in the first place. I'm in the ‘remain champion' business. So, I'm excited. I'm excited to go out there and do what I do best, and that's win championships.

It's definitely safe to say this is one of those fights that's for the fans. Chael doesn't have the greatest record, but he has a huge following. He's a statement maker, and people like to see him compete.

I think 1 thing is sure, this match is going to happen exactly how everybody think it's going to happen. I think Jones will even embarrass Sonnen in the Octagon.. What do you guys think?

Fights to make after UFC on FUEL TV 9

UFC on FUEL TV 9 Mousasi vs. Latifi took place Saturday April 6, 2013 in Stockholm, Sweden. Let's see what fights the UFC should make next for the winners/losers

Gegard Mousasi:
Honestly, I don't know what fight to make. Mousasi said he has a knee injury so this will be hard to predict. The fight that was originally scheduled against Gustafsson will most likely not happen, as Gustafsson will be ready to fight earlier than Mousasi. And Gustafsson is hunting for the title so he wants to fight as soon as possible. Mousasi will be sidelined for quite some time, but when he gets back he'll probably get the Mauricio Rua vs. Rogério Nogueira winner or maybe Dan Henderson vs. Rashad Evans winner.

Ilir Latifi:
Dana White said he was going to get another fight, so no worries for him just yet. I expect him to come out against a mid-tier fighter in the Light Heavyweight division that matches up well with him.

Ross Pearson:
I'd love to see Ross Pearson fight Joe Lauzon next, he's not afraid to go toe to toe and he's great on the ground too. It will be a good test for Pearson. If they want to feed him another striker, give him Jamie Varner.

Ryan Couture:
I read on most websites he will most likely be cut, but I hope he can stay for one more fight to prove himself. He had a very difficult test in Ross Pearson and even though he failed, I thought he did quite well. So set Couture up against Melvin Guillard or something.

Matt Mitrione
Joe Silva, set him up against Brendan Schaub or Ben Rothwell.

Phil De Fries
Put him out of his misery and cut him already. He's getting KOed every time he losses and it's not good for him.

Brad Pickett
I really liked his performance against Mike Easton and the fight definitely deserved fight of the night. There aren't a lot of guys ranked above him anymore. Maybe give him winner of Urijah Faber vs Scott Jorgensen?

Mike Easton
It's his second loss in a row, but he had a good performance against Pickett so he probably won't be cut. But I have really no idea who to match him up against?

What do you guys think of these match-ups?
